Paper Girls Challenge #74 - Card Sketch

For the Paper Girl's Challenge card sketch up this week I made a birthday card for my sister. I used one of the photopolymer stamp sets I bought myself for Christmas called You're Wonderful. I couldn't wait to try my hand at coloring it in.Of course I decided to make a fancy one layer card with it. I stamped the sentiment first and then had to carefully mask it to get the flowers in the background. I love the effect though so it was worth the effort. I colored the flowers with my SU Blendabilities alcohol markers.

I just have to say that I love how this stamp set is designed. It has a lot of different phrases that can be stamped inside the banner portions of the stamp. Super useful and the flowers are really fun to color in. It was easy to build the spray of flowers match the sketch.

Paper Girls Challenge #73 - Anniversary

Good morning! I'm hosting the challenge over at The Paper Girls Challenge blog today and the theme is Anniversary. I thought this stamp from Lawn Fawn was perfect for the theme. I love that is coveys love without having to make it girly so that I can actually give it to my husband and it's not all hearts and butterflies.

I stamped the globe onto vellum with StazeOn and carefully colored in the white space with my blendabilities. I was careful because the alcohol in the markers reacts with the StazeOn ink but they are the only inks that will not smear on the vellum.

I hope you are having a great day! To participate in the challenge go to the main blog post at The Paper Girls Challenge blog.
