Growing in Unity ~ Day 3

I'm so excited to have the opportunity to share something I made using Unity Stamps every day this week. I will be drawing a name next Monday (3/31)  from the comments to receive TWO free Itty Bitty stamp of your choice. To increase your chances of being drawn make sure you comment every day. That's it!

I had a lot of fun making this bendi fold card from the template at SplitCoastStampers. Embellishing it is like decorating your own diorama.  The great part is that you can still untuck the tabs and mail it like a regular card. I'm thinking that it might need a few little hints for assembly on Post-its for the less card savvy recipient though.  I used several different Unity stamps from my collection to get this card just right and I'm really happy with the result. I used the Plane from Echo Park Little Boy in the Clouds, the Clouded by Cuteness background stamp, and a couple of sentiment stamps I got in Grab Bags. To get the airplane to really pop I stamped it first in Island Indigo and then stamped it with VersaMark and embossed it with yellow embossing powder. I love the glossy finish the embossing gave.

The front layers or "hills" were embossed with two different embossing folders. I was thinking about how farmland looks from an airplane when I chose the patterns.

Here's a  view from the top so you can get a better idea of the dimension in the card.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to see you again tomorrow with my next blog post.
