Sisters are the Best

Here is a page that uses the big blossom from Sell-a-brations and the Friends with Flower hostess kit. I used a bleaching technique for the "Sisters are the Best" element and the big blossom. The title I used All about U. That is a great set to mine for words.

For this Technique you will need any bleach. My favorite is the Clorox Ultra because it is more of a gel -and it doesn't splash!

1. Sponge desired color of craft ink (pigment ink) onto white cardstock. Make sure to cover the entire piece. Let dry.

2. Using a brayer roll a darker classic ink (dye based ink) over the top of the other color. Basic black does not work with this technique.

3. Make a makeshift stamp pad with folded paper towel and bleach, or apply to stamp with a sponge brush. Any household bleach works.

4. Stamp image. (Tip: make sure not to get too much bleach on your stamp or your image will look like a blob.)

Cardstock:So Saffron and Chocolate Chip, the patterned paper and stickers come with the scrapbooking kit. Ink: Tempting Turquoise and Only Orange craft and Chocolate Chip classic. Chipboard and twill tape are used as well.

A Quickie

I had an upcoming card swap and two scheduled card clubs two weeks ago so I decided to go for cute and simple. I recently bought some die cut flower embellishments I thought I could use on sale, and an adhesive mat stack. I found coordinating colors (since not many of the flowers were the same paper) and stamped the saying from the Polka Dots and Paisley stamp set in real red craft ink. It might have been nicer if I would have embossed the saying if I had time. Then I drew the stem with a white uniball jell pen. The dimensions are 4" x4" and the red CS is 3.875" square. Voila!

You've Asked for it so Here It Is!

Many friends and customers have asked me where is your blog? I now decided to conform to the new NOW. Here you will find hopefully tips, ideas and samples for rubber stamping.
