With February half gone I imagine most of us are craving a little more Sunshine! Which happens to be the challenge over at the Paper Girls Challenge blog right now. I have this beautiful sentiment stamp from Stampin' Up called Feel Goods which I adore so it was an easy choice for the challenge. I paired it with some Crate Paper Random collection and some gorgeous ribbon and done!

PGCB #96 Forest Friends
Hello there! I'm hosting the challenge at The Paper Girls Challenge blog and our theme is Forest Friends. I stretched the theme to its limits and chose to use my favorite Yeti stamp. It's "Yeti, Set Go" by Lawn Fawn. I just love this happy little guy. It paired pretty well with this older paper from Crate Paper, Sleigh Ride.
This card will probably end up being used as a birthday card but the great thing about it is right now it is all purpose. I hope you have a chance to join us for this challenge!

PGCB #95 - Home/ Family
These pictures are old, but spending time together up in Santa Fe really fit the theme of Home/ Family for this week's challenge. It's fun to go back and scrap some pictures from when my youngest is a tiny little guy. In a way it's bittersweet, but it brings back feelings of nostalgia and I hope this doesn't sound weird, but I love him just a little bit more too.

Let's see your projects that reflect this theme and upload them to the Paper Girls Challenge Blog to be entered into the drawing.

PGCB #94 - Celebrate
I still have Christmas on my mind. So with the theme Celebrate I still thought of Christmas and Christmas cards. I combined two stamp sets from Stampin' Up for this card. I love the reindeer from Jolly Christmas and the sentiment from Cup of Cheer went perfectly with my idea. I masked the reindeer for the layered look and stamped the foreground reindeer a little lighter than the background reindeer.
I added dots of snow with my white chalk maker and dots of glue with my fine tip glue pen with dazzling diamonds glitter sprinkled over it. Finally the harnesses are red jute twine I stitched onto the reindeer with chunky copper glitter for the bells.

PGCB #93- Christmas
It's been a while since I've been able to join in on the Paper Girls Challenges, and I've missed it. I assumed that I would have so much more time to craft when all my kids were back in school but I've ended up having a few health problems that have foiled my plans.
Anyway, I decided to finally decorate the outside of some papier mache cones I had in my stash. I kept it fairly simple and used paper and glue. I used hand punches in my collection and it came together very quickly. As an added bonus, They look great with the new nutcracker set. I just couldn't resist them! We would love to have you join in on the Christmas themed challenge. Go to The Paper Girls Challenge blog and enter before December 19th.

PGCB #85 - Large Letters Challenge
I recently bought this stamp set Over the Rainbow because I absolutely loved the encouragement sentiments it included. I have a few friends going through some trials that I think this type of card will be perfect for. Our Challenge for The Paper Girls Challenge blog was to use Large Letters. This stamp worked perfectly for the challenge and I was able to put this new stamp to use right away.
Have a great week! Join our challenge here at The Paper Girls Challenge blog.

PGCB Challenge #77 - Pastel EGGstavaganza
During spring I'm all about the flowers. I don't think I realize how much I miss them during the winter but it really cheers me up to have fresh flowers in the house and plant them all over my garden. This card went to a good friend for her birthday and I sent it mid February so I thought it would be fun to do something cheerful and with lots of flowers.

As you can see, the Paper Girls like to party. Over at my house the most important part of our birthdays is the cake. My kids always choose interesting subjects for their cakes and I do my best to try and pull it off. In the last two weeks I've had two birthday parties in my home. At the first party my son chose Spyro from Skylanders for his cake. His face is made with different colors of fondant and the horns are ice cream cones covered with yellow candy melts.
A view of the inside of the Portal cake.
Thanks for stopping by! Here is a list of the blog hop locations in case you missed one. Your next top is Karrie's blog.

The Paper Girls Challenge #75 - Marsala
At Paper Girls we are working with this year's new Pantone color of the year, Marsala today.Looking through my supplies I came across the Tim Holtz distress stain in Aged Mahogany. It is a close match so I stained some swatches on some cardstock.

Paper Girls Challenge #74 - Card Sketch
For the Paper Girl's Challenge card sketch up this week I made a birthday card for my sister. I used one of the photopolymer stamp sets I bought myself for Christmas called You're Wonderful. I couldn't wait to try my hand at coloring it in.Of course I decided to make a fancy one layer card with it. I stamped the sentiment first and then had to carefully mask it to get the flowers in the background. I love the effect though so it was worth the effort. I colored the flowers with my SU Blendabilities alcohol markers.
I just have to say that I love how this stamp set is designed. It has a lot of different phrases that can be stamped inside the banner portions of the stamp. Super useful and the flowers are really fun to color in. It was easy to build the spray of flowers match the sketch.
