SSInk Blog Hop: Pumpkins!!

Welcome to the SSInk October Blog Hop!  As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number #5 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Darcy at Dj's Stampin' Place
. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

One thing I think of in October: Pumpkins. How can you not? Instead of making a card with Pumpkins on it I decided to go with a box. I was thinking about it and I decided to see if someone came up with a pattern to make a hexagon type box with the envelope punch board. Yup. Someone sure did. Thanks for making that thought a reality! You can view the pin here. I figured that if I made the box out of orange patterned paper and tied it off with a green ribbon it would resemble a pumpkin. The best part of this idea is you can easily use this for Halloween or Thanksgiving. Have I mentioned how much I love my envelope punch board??

Here are a couple more boxes I made from the same paper pack Confetti Celebration. Some quick notes about this project: I went with a color scheme from the paper pack, Tangelo Twist and Bermuda Bay. (I know Bermuda Bay is technically a shade of blue. But it's a greenish blue. ) I didn't have ribbon to match this project. So I dyed some white seam binding with my reinkers. My fingers are orange and blue now but it was totally worth it!

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Chalk Talk
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Tangelo Twist
Paper: Confetti Celebration DSP
Card Stock: Whisper White
Accessories: Chalk Talk Framelits Dies, White Seam Binding, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Envelope Punch Board
