Happy Wednesday to you! I have another watercolor project to share with you along with the other ladies at SSInk.
This camera was one of those stamps in the catalog I just had to have. I'm so glad I picked it up. I see a future Project Life card in my future. Anyway, my son had a birthday earlier this month, he turned 14 and I thought this camera works well for a masculine theme. I chose chevron ribbon and the Arrow embossing folder for extra texture and stole the arrow clip out of my Everyday Occasions card kit for that extra little something.
I love painting from the ink from my ink pads. One thing is that the top side of the inkpad makes the perfect palatte to blend the ink with water. I love Aqua Painters also because of the constant access to water without the fear of spilling water on any of my precious papers at my desk.
Supplies:
Stamp: Snapshot, Boys Will Be Boys
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, So Saffron, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Smoky Slate
Card Stock: Pacific Point, Watercolor paper
Accessories: Arrows embossing folder, Black Chevron ribbon, Arrow paper clip (Everyday Occasions Kit)

SSInk: Watercolor Wednesday
One of the things that I find relaxing is Watercoloring. I bought this super fun stamp set Boys Will Be Boys with watercoloring and the blendabilities in mind. For this card I went for a messy look. sometimes you let the water bleed out the colors and that's ok! I added some random splashes of red and smudges of orange to add to the look. For a super easy background I sponged on some Tempting Turquoise and then brushed over it with the Aquapainter to blend it out. The last little touch I added was stamping the top portion of the tower of blocks in this stamp set as an arrow. One more thing I wanted to point out is I used some of the Flower Pot DSP for layers on this card. It isn't just a girly set of paper!
My four year old son has claimed it for his own and I'm glad because I achieved making this appealing to a little boy. For more lovely watercoloring check out the other ladies' cards at SSInk.

Paper Girls Challenge #31 -Doodle it!
When the challenge for doodling was suggested by Kristy at the Paper Girls Challenge blog I was so excited! I thought this would be a cinch! Anyhow when it came close to the deadline for submissions I started getting a creative block. Luckily when I sat down to actually make a project I just forced myself to start and this is what I came out with. I traced some arrows with my Kiwi Lane templates Nature #3. Then I doodles different designs on the inside of the arrows. Then for the chevron design on the strip of blue cardstock I just traced the point of the arrow over and over. The small craft star I traced with my gold Stampin' Dazzle Marker. And lastly after stamping Thanks with the Pool Party Ink, I went back and accented the letters with a Pool Party Marker.
:Make sure you check out all of the inspiration projects up at the Paper Girls Challenge blog to get great ideas for more ways to doodle.
By the way I used a new stamp set from Stampin' Up called Designer Typeset and the cool thing is they are testing out Photopolymer stamps and I hope they keep making more sets. If you want to check out the other Photopolymer sets out right now go here. Also there is a stamping class you can buy with the two latest set in a bundle for $35.95.
