PGCB #144 - Watercolors

Our latest challenge topic was watercolors. I thought this will be a cinch! Then I start overthinking things. So I scrapped my first project and came up with this card. I wanted to use this giant sentiment but also incorperate some flowers I could color in. This IS a watercoloring challenge after all. I ended up needing to mask off one of the flowers to fit the letters. I like how that turned out. I also painted a color float around the outside of the flowers and around some of the letters. That made a big difference in the end product.

Last of all I used a Wink of Stella to accent the flowers. It just adds that little bit of subtle shimmer that really takes a card to the next level. Unfortunately, it is really hard to photograph.
